
Scott L. Baker, MD, FACS
Teaching Experience
Dr. Baker is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Dakota. He is also an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor and an instructor of resident physicians and medical students.
Special Interests
Dr. Baker has a special interest in all areas of Minimally Invasive (Laparoscopic) Surgery including surgery for: reflux, colon and rectal; endocrine surgery (adrenal, spleen and pancreas); gallbladder and hernias. He also performs all gastrointestinal surgery including endoscopies. Other areas of interest are surgical oncology, thoracic surgery and trauma care.
Family
Dr. Baker and his wife Carla have 2 sons. He enjoys running, bicycling, hockey and spending time with his family.
