
SCOTT L. BAKER, MD, FACS
Teaching Experience
Dr. Baker is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of South Dakota. He is active in the education of residents and medical students and provides lectures at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. He is also an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor.
Special Interests
Dr. Baker has a special interest in all areas of minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. He specializes in colon and rectal surgery to include benign and malignant diseases of the colon, rectum, and anus. Other interests include surgical oncology, gallbladder surgery, hernia repair, and trauma care.
Family
Dr. Baker and his wife Carla have 2 sons. He enjoys running, bicycling, hockey, and spending time with his family.
