Teaching Experience
Dr. Person is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of South Dakota. He is active in the education of residents and medical students and provides lectures at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine.  He is also an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor.

Special Interests
Dr. Person has a special interest in all areas of minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery.  His interests include cancer related surgeries and biopsies of the esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, breast, thyroid, parathyroid, lung, and skin.  Other interests include complex hernia repair and trauma/critical care.

Family
Dr. Person and his wife Rachel have 5 children.  He enjoys golf and spending time with his family.
