Donald J. Wingert, MD, FACS
Teaching Experience
Dr. Wingert is active in the education of residents and medical students and has served as an instructor for Advanced Trauma Life Support courses provided to physicians.
Special Interests
Dr. Wingert has special interests in laparoscopic procedures; sclerotherapy; trauma care; peripheral vascular surgery; general thoracic surgery; gastrointestinal surgery; stereotactic breast procedures; surgical oncology, including sentinal lymph node biopsies; endoscopy and hyperbaric oxygen treatment. He is also interested in vascular disease, breast disease, general surgery, and treatment for varicose vein disease. He has special training in gastric bypass surgery.
Family
Dr. Wingert and his wife Jane have 2 sons and they enjoy family vacations, Twins baseball and hunting
