Dustin L. Smoot, MD, FACS

Credentials

Dr. Dustin Smoot received his medical degree from the University of

Kansas Medical School. He completed his residency in general surgery

at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and his fellowship in surgical critical

care at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Special Interests

Dr. Smoot has a special interest in treating patients in all aspects of trauma and emergency surgery.

  • Professional Memberships

    Dr. Smoot is board certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care. He is a member of the Western Trauma Association.

  • Teaching Experience

    Dr. Smoot is an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor, providing trauma education to medical professionals throughout the state of South Dakota.

  • Family

    Dr. Smoot enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors hiking, fishing, and camping.
